U. Waterloo Grade 10 Family Night

The University of Waterloo is once again hosting its annual Grade 10 Family Night on Thursday, February 22. This event is designed to help parents and students in Grade 10 get their minds around the potentially overwhelming nature of choosing a university program and university destination. Topics will include admissions requirements, what students can do now to prepare for university and financing your post-secondary education in Ontario. Sign up here to register.

Of note are their College intensive credit programs for students in Grades 10-11. The college-intensive courses are two, three or six-week programs offering Grade 10 and 11 students the opportunity to earn credit by engaging in challenging undergraduate courses. Courses include Careers in Health Science - American Politics - International Organizations and Global governance - Introduction to Engineering - The Global Refugee Crisis - Arts - Business - History - Humanities - STEM.  Click HERE for more information.

Sciences Po Summer Program

Sciences Po is now accepting applications for its 2018 Summer School. As part of the Summer School's Pre-College Programme,  welcoming secondary school students from around the world. This programme is an opportunity to discover Sciences Po and experience college life and academics at one of France‚Äôs leading universities.

The Pre-College Programme takes place from 8-28 July 2018.  The Pre-College Programme introduces students to the key disciplines and methodologies of a Sciences Po education. Participants tackle rigorous academic content through an interdisciplinary lens, exploring current issues in social sciences, international relations, political science and more. The academic programme is taught in English. The first two weeks of the programme take place on the Reims campus, a beautifully restored former Jesuit college from the 17th century. A medium-sized city with a rich history. During the last week of the programme, students will have classes on Sciences Po's flagship campus in Paris. The Summer School is open to students from across the world.
