Trent University launches first Conservation Biology Program with co-op in OntarioTrent University has announced that it has launched the first Conservation Biology BSc program with co-op and placement opportunities. Students in the program will be able to study the science behind conserving the world’s wildlife, and then take what was learned in the lab into the real world through the three paid work terms of a five-year co-op option or through the final year of the placement option. This program will facilitate for those students knowledge transfer from the science of conservation biology, to the practical solutions that will improve the status of earth’s threatened and endangered organisms. Medical Professional Program at  Trent University
The new Medical Professional Program Stream at Trent University is designed for students who are interested in careers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or pharmacy. Students complete a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in the major of their choice. Students will have multiple opportunities to conduct research and engage in health-related internships. Workshops will be offered on resume writing and interviews as well as preparation for the MCAT and DAT. The small classes and personalized learning environment that characterize Trent ensure that professors can write detailed and meaningful references. Students who complete this program with a competitive average are eligible to proceed directly to the medical or veterinary programs at St. George’s University in Grenada:

University of Waterloo Co-op programs
The University of Waterloo has the largest co-operative education program in the world and the success of this style of experiential learning has recently been earning the university a great deal of international acclaim.Waterloo boasts the world’s largest cooperative programme, incorporating 60 per cent of its students.   According to an article in Times Higher Education, many of the jobs in Silicon Valley are going to graduates from Stanford, Berkeley, and Waterloo. It is not just computer science or engineering students who have access to co-op programs at Waterloo. Those in history or fine arts, for example, might gain experience working in galleries, museums or public relations. Co-op students earn an average salary of $15,000 per work term. Ask Jack C.
