Spotlight on Trent: Combine business with a degree in arts or science?

Trent University’s Bachelor of Business degree focuses on economics, management and entrepreneurship, while also offering courses that prepare students for a CPA designation. University of Guelph National Scholarships

The National Scholarship Program at the University of Guelph consists of 12 scholarships valued at $42,000 each; they also include a research assistantship and mentorship by one of Guelph’s leading professors. These scholarships recognize academic excellence, innovation, community and school engagement, and leadership. Students must achieve a minimum 90% admission average to be considered.

The awards fall into the following categories:

8 President’s Scholarships recognize students of academic distinction who have made significant contributions to their schools and communities and demonstrate the potential to become leaders in society.

2 Lincoln Alexander Scholarships recognize students of academic distinction who have made significant contributions to their schools and communities and demonstrate the potential to become leaders in society. They are designed to enhance diversity on the campus and therefore focus on aboriginal peoples, racial minorities, and students with disabilities.

2 Chancellors’ Scholarships recognize students of academic distinction who have made significant contributions their schools and communities and demonstrate the potential to become leaders in society. These scholarships are awarded to students who have taken a leadership role in activities that demonstrate an interest in international relations and development and/or an interest in activities relating to arts and culture.

Students should submit an on-line application available here no later than Friday, January 25.


Spotlight on UBC: Application Deadlines

Students must apply to UBC by December 1, 2018 if they wish to be considered for:

·        First round offers of admission

·        Presidential Scholars Awards

·        Centennial Scholars Entrance Awards

·        International Leader of Tomorrow Awards

·        Donald A. Wehrung International Student Awards

For all others, the final deadline for all applications is January 15, 2019.

 


FALL VISITS TO UNIVERSITIES IN CANADA

This term is the best time for Gr 11-12 students to visit a university campus at one of the many Fall open houses events showcasing academic programs, student life and opportunities.
