Grade 2 - June 7 / 2019

The grade 2s had a busy week finishing up our research reports on their endangered animals. We are looking forward to sharing them with our peers next week. In Math, the children had tons of fun exploring capacity and measurement by creating their own recipe for 1 litre of fruit punch. They also loved having the opportunity to taste their creations.

The students have been filmed performing their play, Les trois petits cochons. Please follow the link to view all of the Grade 2 French plays.

The Grade 2s played the bass xylophone, glockenspiel and the alto metallophone as accompaniment for the other half of the class as they danced and reviewed the 5 times table in the song Weavily Wheat.

Thank you all for a terrific Track and Field Day! We hope everyone enjoyed themselves participating in the activities. The House spirit was fantastic! Go York!

The Grade 2 students will be bringing home any remaining work from this term. It has been a pleasure working with the students and I’m looking forward to seeing them back in the art room next September for Grade 3 art!
