Math

This week in Math, we’ve been organizing data using pictographs and bar graphs. Students also had fun with one of their favourite math inquiries of the year - to create a survey question on a topic they’re interested in and graph it!

Literacy

During guided reading and inquiry, we’ve been focusing on our inquiries into how plants adapt to survive in their environments.

French

we have started consolidating the use of question starters, questions and responses through oral and written activities. This week we learnt the question starter Qu’est ce que? (what?). Through oral and written activities students were able to ask questions using this question starter and answer in a full sentences.

Next week, we will be playing games in French to practice and consolidate the use of vocabulary learnt this year.

Celebration assembly thanks! (Music)

Congrats to G3 on a fantastic performance of Supercalifragilisticexpialedocius! What a perfect start to our celebration assembly! We are working on Ode to Joy as our final recorder piece. Students have learned many notes this year and we will build on this in Grade 4!

Track

Thank you all for a terrific Track and Field Day! We hope everyone enjoyed themselves participating in the activities. The House spirit was fantastic! Go York!

Art

The Grade 3 students will be bringing home any remaining work from this term. It has been a pleasure working with the students and I’m looking forward to seeing them back in the art room next September for Grade 4 art!

Attendance Reminder

A gentle reminder that Before Care does NOT start until 7:30 AM.  There is no supervision before that time.
