Grade 5 - November 3 / 2017

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS:

Lake St. George was a huge success. The students enjoyed the outdoor activities and immersed themselves in the Trappers and Traders activity.

Thank you to the YPA for organizing a fantastic spooky, scary and fun Halloween. We know and appreciate the hard work that went into planning this event.

In math, we have been looking at grid coordinates and reading maps with longitude and latitude. This has connected nicely with our unit as we look at where explorers have travelled and traversed the globe.

Fabric anyone? - If you have any old scraps of fabric (big or small) or old t-shirts that can be cut up, please bring it in. We will take anything, doesn’t matter the patterns or the material!

Athletics

REMINDERS:

Every morning, the Junior School takes a mindful moment, led by Ms. Mary Moffat-Johansson at 8:25 a.m. In order to help our students and staff effectively practise, we require the hallways on the second and third floors to be silent. Students arriving during the mindful moment will be asked to wait on the first floor with Ms. Faba or another staff member until the mindful moment is over.
