TUNES FOR TOONIES

The 4th Annual Tunes 4 Toonies Middle School lip sync performance was a huge success! Each Middle School homeroom planned, practiced and performed a spectacular performance of lip syncing and dancing to songs both old and new. Special mentions to the following homerooms for winning the Tunes 4 Toonies competition:

1st place 7A
2nd place 6B
3rd place Tie between 7B & 8A

As always, the grade 8 homerooms executed the production of this performance as part of their annual service initiative to raise money for our sister school in India, Global Pathways School. Middle School students were asked to donate $2 to attend the show, which raised $220 for Global Pathways School!

MUCH LOST, LITTLE FOUND

In an effort to reunite students with their lost articles, we have spread lost-and-found items on tables on the third floor.  These will remain in place until Friday, November 30th, at which point they will be gathered and given to charity. Please encourage your child to look through the articles before they are gone for good.

ANNUAL NEW CIRCLES WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE

From Tuesday, December 3rd to Friday, December 14th, The York School JK- 12 is collecting winter clothes for our annual New Circles Winter Clothing Drive. Please bring in any winter gear to help this fantastic local organization support newcomers to Toronto and low-income families! This includes boots, snow pants, coats, scarves, hats, mittens, long pants, socks, girls’ tights, etc.

Middle School students, please bring your items to your homeroom so Grade Leaders or House Captains can tally how many items you donated before dropping your items off in your house box in the Middle School Commons.

The House that collects the most clothing will win a cozy winter clothing casual day.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
