Principal’s Message

Dear Parents,

As I reflect on the fall term, I am happy to note that our students have taken risks, advanced their knowledge and skills,  and connected to their community. Students have been pushed outside their comfort zone to participate in various school activities, both in and out of the classroom.  In classes, we ask students to share their voice to issues, negotiate differences in beliefs and take a position. In our co-curricular programmes, our students are asked to engage in a new activity, be a supportive teammate, or be a courageous  leader. More importantly, we ask our students to know themselves, and to be kind, generous and grateful students so they can connect to the community that will ultimately help them grow to be ‘knowledgeable, caring, inquiring and engaged citizens of the world’.

These experiences would not be possible without the caring and committed faculty and staff who spend countless hours nurturing the potential of our students. I am grateful to work among the best educators.

As I have shared in previous communication, the middle school years are challenging at the best of times.  The winter break is a good time to rest and rejuvenate. I would like to take the opportunity to extend my gratitude to our families who have been supportive to the programmes and practices of the school.  It does’ take a village to raise a child’.

Wishing all families a restful, fun and safe winter vacation. I look forward to seeing bright student faces when school resumes on Monday, January 7th.
