HIGHLIGHTS

Middle School Toronto Symphony Orchestra Trip

On Wednesday February 27th our Grade 6, 7 and 8 students travelled to Roy Thomson Hall and watched, listened  and learned all about improvisation. Members of the cast of Second City joined the symphony and demonstrated how improvised melodic lines can intertwine with improvised dialogue. This was an exciting interactive performance and fun had by all!!  Many thanks to Diane Drysdale for initiating, planning and organizing this experience.

Concours and Festival d’art oratoire

On Thursday February 28th, 7 students from Grades 6 and 7 travelled to Toronto Montessori School to compete in the Concours D’art Oratoire, a French public speaking contest that takes place every year. All students wrote and delivered excellent speeches and demonstrated being a risk taker. Bravo!
