SLEEP IN APRIL 18 - Middle and Senior School Students

With our schedules ramping up for Spring, and in support of our collective wellness, the school will have a sleep-in for all students at 1320 Yonge Street on Thursday April 18. Students will be expected to arrive at 9:40 am for homeroom and classes will begin with period 1 at 9:50 am. With a delayed start the cafeteria will serve lunch later from 12:20-1:20 pm (as we usually do on 'assembly Tuesdays'). There will be no snack service on this day. Families who need to drop their child off at the regular times, can still do so. Supervision in the cafe and learning commons will be provided for students who would be expected to read or work on school assignments. The use of technology for entertainment is not permitted.

The Conference of Independent Schools of Ontario (CIS Ontario) is a collegial group of 48 independent schools dedicated to providing the very best educational opportunities for today's youth. Our annual Music Festival is a remarkable opportunity for students and music educators to collaborate in a non-competitive atmosphere that fosters a high-level of musicianship and artistic expression. The choristers are selected by their school directors, and the instrumentalists participate in an audition process adjudicated by CIS music educators. The repertoire is prepared in advance, and the performance comes together over the course of rigorous rehearsal days. There is nothing better than watching as our music faculty along with 1400 of our students perform on the Roy Thomson Hall stage. Bravo!
