REMINDERS

Reminder to Junior School Parents regarding outdoor recess guidelines during the winter months.

Children will be playing outdoors if the temperature, including wind chill, remains at -28 degrees C or warmer.  We will usually shorten outdoor recess if the temperature ranges from -25 degrees C to -28 degrees including wind chill.

Grade 1, 2 and 3 students MUST wear snow pants, jacket, boots, hat and mittens / gloves for all outdoor recesses.

Grade 4 and 5 students MUST wear jackets, boots, hat / hood for all outdoor recesses. While we strongly encourage our older students to wear snow pants and mittens, we leave this up to them in an effort to enhance their development of student agency.  Students will not be permitted to stay indoors for recess if they are not properly prepared to go outside.

Reminder to Junior School Parents regarding pick-up and drop-off.

Please use extra care during these months when driving conditions are both minimized and compromised due to the changing weather and snow accumulation. We ask that you also be mindful of our neighbours who may need your concession when they are driving into or out of their own driveway. Many thanks are extended, in advance, for your support and co-operation.
