DECA Business Club
Congratulations to the DECA Business Club for their excellent results at the Regionals competition amongst all private schools in Ontario! It was a tough competition. Here are the results:
- Multiple choice exam top 10: Simon Cotterill, Paul Rotman, Jonah Beber and Lizzie Schulz
- Oral Presentation top 10: Niklas Brenninkmeyer and Anh Tran
- Combined presentation and multiple choice top 3 overall: Niklas Brenninkmeyer, Anh Tran, Paul Rotman, and Michael Barrack
Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Volleyball and Varsity Girls Basketball teams for their Silver Medal finishes in the CISAA Championships last Friday! Additionally, our Junior Varsity Boys Volleyball team took 3rd place in their division last Saturday. Great season, Gladiators!

Senior School Parents Connect, November 22
Please join our inaugural Senior School Parents Connect event that will take place on Wednesday, November 22. As a new initiative by the YPA to connect parents of our High School student community, we are hoping you will join us at the Art Gallery of Ontario to view the exciting Guillermo Del Toro: At Home with Monsters exhibition, inclusive of a pre-tour Art Talk presented by an AGO educator and followed by a lunch at Asian Legend. This year's first Senior School Dance, "GLOW", will take place next Friday, November 17th in the York School gym from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Doors close at 9 p.m. Tickets will be on sale for $15 starting Tuesday, Nov 7th. Students will purchase tickets online by charging the ticket to their account. Each student is allowed to bring one guest currently enrolled in a High School. It is expected that students and guests must conduct themselves in a respectable manner while attending the dance. Students and guests are not to arrive at The York School having consumed either alcohol or illicit drugs, and are not to be in possession of either alcohol or illicit drugs while at the dance. All attendees are subject to having bags and clothing searched to ensure the safety of all. Penalties for inappropriate behaviour may include ejection and suspension.
