(For ICE Winter Camping Trip and Outers Winter Camping Trip)
In order to facilitate smooth busing drop offs and pick ups for our students, we are piloting a new busing location for our overnight excursions. The buses for the ICE Winter Camping (during the week of February 4th) and Outers Winter Camping (February 8-10th) will pick up and drop off at the Loblaws Parking Lot at 11 Redway Road. (Before the Challenge Week Information Sessions)

Grade 10 Parents, thank you for supporting your children during the significant learning journey of the Personal Project. We would like you to come and celebrate the range of projects our students have taken part in and to hear how they have grown as learners through this challenging process. Students have created celebration display boards and will be on hand to showcase their products and to share insights they have gained through their research, exploration and project report.

Grade 9 Parents, please come to the showcase to see what the culminating MYP Personal Project looks like when it is done. You will talk to grade 10 students to learn about their experiences in the project, and get some idea of the scope of the kinds of products and outcome the students generated this year.

CHALLENGE WEEK - Parents Info Night - February 13th

Hello Parents,
You are all invited to attend the Senior School Challenge Week Parent Information Evening on Wednesday, February 13th from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at 1320 Yonge Street. Teachers and trip providers of the overnight excursions will be there to share details about preparation, activities, safety, transportation, and forms for your child's upcoming Challenge Week experience.

The information shared during this evening is important to the understanding of your child's excursion and there will be an opportunity to ask questions. For those parents that are unable to attend due to a conflict, information will be shared after the event.

We ask that you RSVP below by Thursday, February 7, 2019.  If you have more than one child participating in Challenge Week, please complete an RSVP for each child's trip.

Our next sessions for the Athlete Institute will be for High Performance basketball led by NBA and International Shooting/Skills Development Coach, David Nurse. This is a great opportunity to come and learn and develop your basketball skills. If you partake in The York Basketball community you should sign up for at least 1 of these sessions that are being offered. Sessions are scheduled for Friday, March 29th to Sunday March 31st. You can sign up using the google form by clicking here.

For purposes of security, safety, and convenience, we have installed keypad garage access for parents coming to the school to collect their children from after school activities (meetings, sports, tutoring, community etc.)

How to access garage:

The keypad is situated on the laneway podium at the entrance of the garage.
Use first 5 digits of your child’s student ID code (not the 0 at the end) followed by B.

This keypad activation is scheduled daily from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and for select events as needed (the upcoming Middle School Games Night for example).

After parking, do not walk on the ramp, but instead use the pedestrian entrance adjacent to the garage door. This will lead you out to the laneway sidewalk so you can access the school the usual way through the front door.

We’d like to remind you that parking is limited with no guarantee of a spot, and ask that you respectfully use the parking only for The York School business.
