Message from Conor Jones, Head of School
Dear York School Community,
In many ways, The York School is a close-knit and caring community. We often refer to ourselves as a York School family. For staff and students who spend so much time here, it can really be a family away from home.
It is with great sadness that I announce the loss of a member of our family, Katie Leopold, our Chief Financial Officer. Katie battled lymphoma for over a year, passing away on January 1, 2018.
Katie will be deeply missed by our community. She had an incredible work ethic, great people skills, led by example and had a laugh that made everyone feel happier to be in her presence. We are privileged to have had her in our family.
Katie is survived by her husband, Eric, and their three children, Emma, Mia and Harry. We are compiling a book with condolences and some of our memories of Katie and her time at The York School. Many of you will have interacted with Katie and if you would like to share a thought with the family please email email@example.com and we will see these notes are included in the book we will present to Katie’s family.
