We have new initiatives starting the second week of school. Our Storm Strong Parent Bootcamp is an opportunity for our parents to find their most well self. Bootcamp starts September 18, 2026 7:15am at 1320 Yonge. Sign up: Storm Strong Parent
Our S-League initIative is a Grade 7 to Grade 12 Intramural Basketball League that begins Friday, September 18 @ 4:00pm. Sign Up: S League

“New to Toronto" Parent Coffee Connect - SeptEMBER 23
Dear New TYS Families,
We hope the first few days of school and/or camp have gone well for your child(ren) and that everyone is settling into new routines. As part of our onboarding at The York School, we'd like to invite all new families who are also new to Toronto to attend a casual Coffee Connect. Whether you moved from outside the GTA, from across Canada, or from around the globe, we hope you can join us on Wednesday, September 23, at 9:30 a.m. in the Library at our Middle and Senior School.
The goal of this event is to provide a relaxed and casual setting where you can connect with other families who are also new to Toronto. We hope you'll share your transition experiences, and begin to get to know one another. We will also have members of the YPA (York Parents’ Association) in attendance to answer any questions you may have, in addition to IT Tech Support to help you navigate YorkNet and other IT tools. For some of you, this will be your first opportunity to see the school, as you may have completed the admissions process virtually. We would be happy to arrange a tour after the coffee morning with one of our Student Ambassadors, so that you can finally see our school in action!
Please RSVP by September 21 to let us know if you can attend. We look forward to welcoming you to campus and helping our "new-to-Toronto families" to connect!

Please take a moment to update your contact information in YorkNet if it has changed recently, including address, emails, phone numbers. All communications from York refer to your contact details in YorkNet and we greatly appreciate you confirming this information prior to the start of school next week.
This can be done in under 5 minutes by following these steps:
1. Login to your YorkNet account
2. Click on your name in the top right corner to see the dropdown
3. Click on Profile
4. Add/update your phone, email and address
5. Save changes!
