The York School Middle & Senior Drama Festival
The Drama Studio is opening its doors for The York School’s Drama Festival tonight, April 10. Parents, family, and friends are invited to attend! Drama students are asked to arrive at 5:30pm to prepare, doors to the drama studio will open at 6:45pm, and the show will begin at 7:00pm. UPDATE FROM FINANCE
2nd Tuition Installment - Due Wednesday, April 30, 2025
The 2nd Tuition payment for the 2025 - 2026 school year is due by Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
JK - Grade 12 $22,700
These payments only apply to those not on the monthly installment plan.
Payment options include:
Online Payment: Through most major banks, you are able to set up The York School as a payee to enable the payment of tuition online. Set up the “York School” as a payee and then use the last five digits of your child’s student account.
Cheque: The School prefers to receive your payments electronically however, if you choose to pay by cheque, cheques may be dropped off at Middle/Senior School reception at 1320 Yonge Street.
Credit Card: Credit card payments through Plastiq can be made with most major credit cards. Go to https://request.plastiq.com/pay-the-york-school and register. Please note that payments may take 3-5 business days to process and that a service fee of 2.9% will be applied.
Athletics
We wish our Varsity Ultimate Frisbee team good luck at the Hangar Early Bird tomorrow.
Next week, our competitive season kicks off with various teams in action! Good Luck to our Badminton, Ultimate Frisbee and Track and Field Teams!
Last Friday, we held our first ever official alumni basketball game! It went right down to the end with our Varsity Boys taking down the Alumni 56-54! We hope to have future events in volleyball and dodgeball!

DECA tournament UPDATE
During the month of March, Grade 11 students Beckett Y. and Charlotte B. took part in the UC Berkeley Ascend Stock Pitch Competition. Students were provided with an investment goal and required to analyze and choose a stock to meet that goal. Charlotte and Beckett's pitch was judged to be the top Canadian entry in the competition. Congratulations to them both!
2025 ROBOCUP COMPETITION UPDATE
Yesterday, the York Senior Robotics team went to St. Andrews College in Aurora, ON for the GTA Robocup Tournament. There were dozens of teams from 10 different schools. There were contests in three categories, Rescue Line Following, Rescue Maze and Robo Soccer. RoboGladiators #1 (Yamini Q., Anh N. and Rocky P.) placed third in the Rescue Line Following Category!
