As we look forward to celebrating David Hamilton’s upcoming retirement, we are collecting contributions for his memory book, which will be presented to him at the end of the year. We would appreciate your contributions by May 10. Please click here to contribute.
We mentioned a while back that The York School has implemented the BrightArrow Notification Service, which will allow the school to send a message via voicemail, text, and/or e-mail to provide important information in the event of an emergency, snow day or other unexpected occurrences. Tomorrow, you will receive a test text message from The York School.

THE YORK SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING UPDATE
At last night’s meeting, the Board received an update and discussed (i) enrolment for the 2024-2025 School year, (ii) capital projects, and (iii) communications strategies.
Athletics
What an awesome week! Every TYS team was out competing in CISAA and we are posting some awesome results.
On April 24, 2024 Trinity College hosted the CISAA Badminton OFSAA (Ontario Championships Qualifier). For the first time ever, a York School athlete has qualified. Congratulations to Georgia B in grade 11 who will be representing CISAA in the high school athlete category. TYS has now qualified in the individual sports of Cross-Country, Skiing and Badminton, team sports of Girls Volleyball and Boys Basketball.
Blue Jays day
Our teams are in full swing. Varsity Badminton made its season debut this week hosting Bayview Glen and we have an action packed week coming up with all of our teams competing in the CISAA Arena.
As we move into the spring, we have a couple of exciting events for our community. First we have The York School @ Blue Jays Day. Awesome opportunity to see the Jays take on the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday, June 12, 2024 from the newly renovated West Jet Flight Deck. Tickets are $70 per person and will be charged to your TYS account.
