MESSAGE FROM STRUAN ROBERTSON, HEAD OF SCHOOL
Congratulations to all students and staff who participated in the 13th Annual grade 7 Pinewood Derby - such a fun event this past Monday!
Congratulations to our Junior School students and staff for their fantastic Harmony Concert this morning.
Grade 12 students are working hard during their exams.
The holidays begin Thursday afternoon next week and we will be closed for the holiday break starting on December 22.
THE YORK SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING UPDATE
At its final meeting of 2023, the Board of Directors received a presentation on student learning and wellbeing data from Elissa Kline-Beber, Associate Head - Wellbeing and reviewed the draft budget for the 2024-25 school year.
13th Annual Pinewood Derby
This week our grade 7s were able to race their Design creations in the 13th Annual Pinewood Derby. Congratulations to all students who participated and helped make this a successful event. Thank you to our Design teachers Mr. Neville (7A), Mr. Corsano (7B), and Mr. Cooper (7C) for instilling the fun in learning. Special thanks to Ms. Mottola and Ms. Goodwin who also helped with preparing the cars for each race and to Ms. Scott and the Athletics Department for helping us host the event in the Gladiator Centre.

Athletics
Our winter season is rolling and full of highlights. Our U13 Boys Basketball and Girls Volleyball teams remain undefeated while our Varsity Ski Team is ready to jump out of the gates in the New Year!
We all know how sport and physical activity can impact our body in positive ways. That being said, sport has an amazing ability to develop our mindsets both inside and outside the arena of sport. As we close out the 2023 school year, here is a little video that takes a look a ‘mindset development’ - Mindset Development for Young Athletes.
