The Middle School 14th Annual Pinewood Derby Race is on Monday, December 9.
Wishing our Grade 9 ICE class a great trip next week as they travel to Ottawa.
York’s annual clothing drive for New Circles will continue until Friday, December 13.
In 2025, we look forward to celebrating 60 years of excellence in education at The York School with plans for an Alumni event in June.
BOARD MEETING UPDATE
The Board of Directors met last evening to receive a report on the Diploma Program and progress on the Junior School renovation project.
GIVING TUESDAY
Giving Tuesday just passed and we saw a remarkable outpouring of support from our community - thank you!
Our goal is to have 100 new donors commit to growing our financial assistance program before 2025.

A Message from the City of Toronto
E-scooters are illegal and unsafe, especially for youth under the age of 16.
Electric scooters are not allowed on public roads, sidewalks or paths in Toronto, regardless of age. In Ontario it is illegal for children under the age of 16 to operate an electric scooter or e-bike. This past summer, The Hospital for Sick Children saw a notable increase in patients with significant injuries from e-scooter use.
Choose kick-scooters and bicycles that are not battery operated, and ensure children and youth wear a helmet when they ride.

ATHLETICS
Well, TYS Athletics is in full winter flow. Our Volleyball Teams are off to a flying start. Varsity Girls move to 2-0 on the Season with two huge wins versus Havergal and De La Salle. This team will be a force this year and has its sights set on an OFSAA Medal!
U13 Girls Volleyball won an amazing 5-Set Marathon versus Lauremont. Our U14 Boys opened with a tough win against Toronto French School.
We have a busy couple of weeks leading up to the break but continue to take the CISAA by storm.

It is our final week to collect donations for New Circles. If you are interested in supporting this initiative, please remember to send in the following items: Winter jackets, Winter Boots, Men’s Clothing, Shoes (for everyone), Boys’ Clothes, Winter Accessories.
If you are open to purchasing new items, there is also a need for the following in all sizes:
