Excited to celebrate the Class of 2024 tomorrow. Thank you to all the families who have already given to the Class of 2024 Bursary Campaign. We are aiming for 100% participation from graduating families so if you haven’t given yet, please donate now.
Looking forward to the JS Track and Field Day next Friday, June 7!
JS Carnival on June 8 - there will be entertainment, food and drinks for adults and kids so that everyone will have fun - RSVP by May 31, 2024!
Carnival Silent Auction website will go live by end of day tomorrow and will remain open until 5:30pm on June 8. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will help us build More Great Spaces for students today and in the years to come.
All York families are invited to participate in bidding for the auction’s incredible experiences, items, and activities.
Special thank you to all of the volunteers who have signed up to help out - we are thrilled with the response from our community!
We are also just a week away from our York School Alumni Reunion on Friday, June 7.

THE YORK SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING UPDATE

The Board of Directors had their annual off-site retreat yesterday. We welcomed Sarah Prevette, CEO of Future Design School, to review our progress towards Embrace Curiosity, our new strategic plan, which was launched in the fall of 2023. The Board also reviewed the feedback from our community engagement surveys and the school looks forward to sharing the results in the fall.

We also welcomed current York Parent Jordan Jacobs, a key figure in Canada’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) scene. Jordan, along with Sarah Prevette and York’s own Justin Medved, conducted a panel discussion on AI & The Future of Education.

2nd Tuition Installment - Due TOMORROW - Friday, May 31, 2024

The 2nd Tuition payment for the 2024 - 2025 school year is due by Friday, May 31, 2024.

JK - Grade 12 $20,350.00

These payments only apply to those not on the monthly installment plan.

Payment options include:

Online Payment - Through most major banks, you are able to set up The York School as a payee to enable the payment of tuition online. Set up the “York School” as a payee and then use the last five digits of your child’s student account.

Cheque - The School prefers to receive your payments electronically, however, if you choose to pay by cheque, cheques may be dropped off at Middle/Senior School reception at 1320 Yonge Street.

Credit Card - Credit card payments through Plastiq can be made with most major credit cards. Go to https://request.plastiq.com/pay-the-york-school and register. Please note that payments may take 3-5 business days to process and that a service fee of 2.9% will be applied.

CARNIVAL Silent Auction Website

Carnival Silent Auction website contains some truly incredible experiences such as premium Blue Jays tickets, a luxury overnight retreat to The Escarpment House Estate with Private Chef, a trip of a lifetime for two to India, to mention just a few.

The Silent Auction will go live shortly, please start checking toward the end of day tomorrow. It will remain open until 5:30pm on June 8.

Well, it's official! The greatest year in TYS History is in the books. It was so amazing this week to celebrate with our Breakfasts of Champions, senior and middle school additions.

Major shoutout to our Alumni who came back to TYS, Truman Wood-Lockyer 17’ and Lauren Clarfield 14’.

We will publish our practice schedules for 2024 - 2025 in next weeks communications.

Junior School Athletics Assembly & Celebration Gr. 3-5 Friday, May 31 9:10am - 9:40am

Mr. D will be hosting a Junior School Athletics Assembly for our Grade 3 to 5 students to celebrate the contributions of young athletes this year from all three seasons. An assembly video will be shared with parents in an upcoming Flash.

ALUMNI REUNION - FRIDAY, JUNE 7 - 6:30PM TO 9:00PM

We are just two weeks away from our York School Alumni Reunion. There are more than 130 alumni registered for this celebration and we look forward to reconnecting with everyone and toasting Mr. Hamilton for his 29 years of remarkable service!
