ATHLETICS

What an amazing Fall term at the York School! We have been dominating the courts, trails, and fields.

Our U9 to U12 teams will have end of season festivals this week to celebrate the amazing term in CISAA Sport.

Many teams have qualified for CISAA playoffs, which is becoming a standard at TYS. Our varsity boys soccer team earned a semi-final appearance at CAIS Soccer in the bronze division, while our inaugural flag football team is taking the league by storm.

Our U14 boys soccer team has finished first in U14 D2B and will host the championships at Downsview Park on November 1, 2024.

This season saw TYS with many firsts. Varsity boys volleyball participated in Division 1 for the first time and earned the CISAA bid at OFSAA, which is being hosted in Chatham, Ontario from November 21 - November 23.

Sam White, a York School legend, earned his way to OFSAA golf, finishing 14th in the high school division.

Our JV girls x-country team also took the CISAA bid and will represent our school and association in Ottawa at the Provincial Championships on November 3 and November 4, 2024.

Now we start gearing up for winter.  Practices for the winter will begin the week of November 4, 2024 at 7:00am.

Grounded in evidence-based theory and skills, this talk will provide parents with a framework for better understanding their child's emotions and how to better support them. We will review common challenges parents face in managing their child's big emotions, and the tips and strategies that are most effective for building emotion regulation skills and resilience.

This webinar will be presented with a Junior School focus but all parents are welcomed to attend.
