Grade 12 University Application Evening - Thursday, September 12, 2024
On Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 7:00pm, the University Counselling Office at The York School will be hosting an information night for Grade 12 Parents. This presentation will cover the basics of the university application processes, procedures, and timelines for the Class of 2025. There will be a live Q&A session following the presentation. Parents and students who have already met with their counsellor will be familiar with the content.
Our goal is to keep you informed about the interactions we will be having with your child as they plan their post-secondary destination. Applying to university is a process. Each student will receive personalized, 1:1 counselling and assistance throughout this process with their counsellor. The intensity/complexity/responsibilities each student will have to manage through the process will vary from student to student.
Please RSVP to the form emailed to grade 12 families by Monday, September 9th, 2024 and post any questions you may have prior to the presentation. This information will also be sent out in an email to grade 12 parents after the presentation.

But reading for pleasure, interest and curiosity isn’t just for summertime. Students who read regularly tend to have the easiest time with the Reading sections of the SAT and ACT. Reading a little every day can go a long way toward boosting your verbal skills by building your fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.
