BEYOND YORK - DECEMBER 21, 2023
The University Counselling office wishes everyone a wonderful winter break and a Happy New Year!
As 2023 comes to a close, we hope the Grade 12s are able to take some well-deserved time to rest, relax, and spend time with loved ones. It's important to carve out time for self-care and rejuvenation during breaks, and we encourage you to make the most of these two weeks. That being said, it's also a good idea to set aside some time to complete any university supplemental work that may be due after the break. Be sure to check the to-do list in your university portals. Wishing you all a happy and restful break!
Grade 11s have begun meeting with their university counsellors and we hope to meet all of you, one on one, over the next couple of months. Please email Ms Diano to book an appointment starting in the new year. An invitation to the university information evening for parents in mid-February will be sent out in late January.
The Grade 10s have been exploring the subjects they wish to take for the IB Diploma. They have sat in on IB Diploma classes and will be booking one on ones with their counsellor to talk further about their diploma choices. We look forward to those discussions in the new year. Course forms will be sent out upon the return to school.
What a great turn out for our interview with author Jeffrey Selingo. If you were unable to attend please click HERE to watch the recording. This recording will be available to watch until January 9, 2024.
