UPCOMING University
Visits

University visits this week:

Grade 12s are deep in conversations with their counsellors about applying to schools that are a good fit. Grade 10s and 11s can start exploring schools and programs by looking through the search links posted in the folders on Blackboard in the University Counselling Course. Let you counsellor know if you have questions and book an appointment to talk further.

Finding your Best Fit involves identifying an institution that provides academic programs aligning with your passions and resonates with your personal values, preferences, and long-term aspirations. It encompasses discovering a place where the location, residence, community, and academic offerings harmoniously combine to create a sense of belonging and comfort, thereby ensuring a truly enriching and successful university experience.

Canadian universities are posting dates for Open Houses. Please check this live document and plan to visit an open house or book a campus tour. Open houses allow you to learn about specific programs, talk to current students and perhaps even have a meal on campus. Campus tours are running regularly at most universities.

The Engineering Outreach office is excited to be partnering with WISE, the University of Toronto Women in Science & Engineering student club, to bring Go ENG Girl Fall 2023!

This in-person opportunity is for female and non-binary youth in grades 7-10. We encourage you to share this opportunity with others who you feel may be interested. Go ENG Girl is an in-person day run by members of WISE, dedicated to learning about the world of engineering! Participants will take part in interactive activities that explore key concepts in STEM, work as a team to solve everyday engineering problems, and hear from industry professionals about what being a woman in engineering is like.
