JUNIOR SCHOOL Pink shirt day and MOVIE NIGHT

The Junior School stood up against bullying by getting decked out for Pink Shirt Day. The day ended with a special York School Movie Night that fostered friendship and respect. Huge thanks to the YPA for hosting the event!

Our Junior School students made their families and teachers proud with their heartfelt performances during the Music Celebration last week. Congratulations to all our singers, Music teacher Mr. Fletcher, and all the teachers and staff who made sure the rehearsal and concert ran smoothly!

JUNIOR SCHOOL SHOWCASE 2025

We loved celebrating the gifts and talents of our junior school students in this annual event. These dynamic performers demonstrated the learner profile attribute risk-taking as they took to the stage with confidence and charisma. Congratulations to all who participated! 

JS Showcase Grade 1-3 video 2025 (part 1) and JS Showcase Grade 4 & 5 video 2025 (part 2) will be shared after March Break in March 27 Flash.

MARCH BREAK BIRTHDAYS CASUAL DAY

On Thursday, March 27, students who celebrated their birthdays over the March Break will have an opportunity to enjoy their birthday casual day at school. If your child celebrates their birthday between March 8 - March 23 they are invited to wear a birthday outfit of their choice. Happy Birthday everyone!

JUNIOR SCHOOL SPRING CO-CURRICULAR OFFERINGS (ATHLETICS & CLUBS)

All spring clubs and athletic practices will begin on Monday, March 31 from 3:30pm - 4:30pm and run for approx. 8 weeks until Friday, May 23 with our make up classes the week of Monday, May 26 - Friday, May 30. 

Please note: ACT ONE will start early with their first rehearsal on Friday, March 28 and runs longer until Friday, June 6.

GRADE 5 ‘STEPPING UP TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL’ VISIT #2 to 1320

On Wednesday, March 26 from 8:30am - 10:15am our Grade 5 students are invited to the Grade 7 Speech Competition to hear the winning speeches from each homeroom. They will also learn which students will move on to compete in the city finals. Following the speeches, Grade 5 will hear from Middle School Leadership Coordinator, Ms. Diana Rowell and our Grade 6 student leaders about Middle School Student Life, co-curriculars and leadership opportunities.
