PYP Grade 5 Exhibition is on May 29, 2024 from 3:45pm - 5:00pm. Please join us to see the Grade 5 students in action!
Junior School Carnival is on June 8, 2024 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
The Carnival needs Parent Volunteers. Parents who volunteer get a FREE ticket and only have to volunteer for one one-hour shift. Please sign up for a shift here. We need your help to make our Carnival out of this world!
Yearbooks will be distributed to students on Friday, June 7, 2024.

YPA CALL FOR CLASS PARTY VOLUNTEERS
Our amazing Class Parents have planned all of the fun activities for our year end class parties on the last day of school on Friday, June 14 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. We are looking for a handful of volunteers for each grade to help facilitate. Volunteer spots are limited.
Please sign up to volunteer using this form by May 29.
Volunteers will be confirmed by email on or by June 1 (as it is possible that interest will exceed available spaces). All confirmed volunteers will be needed, rain or shine!
MAKE UP CLASSES FOR SPRING CO-CURRICULAR CLUBS
Spring Co-curricular Clubs & Athletics end on Friday, May 24. We will have Make up classes for only external provider clubs missed due to a conflict with special events. Please see below the external provider make up classes that will run next week on Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30.

YPA FUN DAY VOLUNTEER SIGN UP
Our YPA Fun Day is on Thursday, June 13 (the last Thursday of the school year). This event requires a huge team of amazing volunteers - RAIN or SHINE - so please share your availability in this sign up form for Fun Day 2024 by May 20 to help wrap up this school year in a big and incredibly FUN way!
FINAL ‘STEPPING UP TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL VISIT’ Thursday, May 30
Our Grade 5 students, are looking forward to their final visit to 1320 Yonge Street on Thursday, May 30 from 10:15am - 12:00pm. There will be a brief presentation from Ms. Gin followed by fun team building games on the turf and then lunch in the cafe. Chicken burgers and fries will be served with a vegetarian option. Students can bring their own packed lunch from home if desired.
Grade 5 Parents are asked to order their child’s lunch on this Lunch Order Google Form or indicate that their child will be bringing a packed lunch from home by May 28 at 3:00pm.
GRADE 5 CELEBRATION - PARENT PHOTO REQUEST
If you are a Grade 5 parent, we need your help to honour our students at the Grade 5 Celebration in June.
Please share a photograph of your child at school in JK or SK. It doesn't have to be at the York School. This photo will be included in the celebration slide show.
The Grade 5 Celebration Parent Committee is also putting together a special keepsake and needs photos of each of our Grade 5 students. To capture each student's school career, we would greatly appreciate it if you could select, scan and send us 5 photos of your child from different points in their life (kindergarten, primary and junior years).
All pictures can be submitted through this Grade 5 Celebration Student Photo Request Form - 2024 or emailed directly to Alex MacDonald alexandra.macdonald@gmail.com. Please submit all photos by next Wednesday, May 22 at 5:00pm.
