Junior School - OCTOBER 19, 2023

UPCOMING EVENTS

  • Please note that as of Monday, October 16, the After Care Program will run until 5:30pm. All students must be picked up by 5:30pm as there will not be any aftercare supervision offered after this time.

  • Look out for a communication coming from the JS this week. This will be a communication that goes out once a month sharing JS updates, tips for parents, a learner profile focus, and spotlight on members of the community.

  • Friday, October 27, the Junior School will be having a lockdown drill at 2:45pm. Lockdown drills are conducted bi-annually and help us ensure that our staff and students are able to run to proper procedure in case of emergency. When preparing students we run through the procedure and outline the intention, which is to make sure the school follows a plan in the unlikely event that there is danger in the school. Teachers will prepare the students in a way that is low-key and developmentally appropriate. If you would like to speak further about the upcoming drill, you can reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher or Amy Faba, Junior School Counsellor at afaba@yorkschool.com.
