STUDENT LIFE AND BELONGING
With Gratitude
We want to say thank you to the students, families and staff who supported our Beverley School partnership and fundraising campaign. Together, we raised just over $3000 and have been able to donate many materials that will enrich the student experience at Beverley as well as supporting the teaching and wellbeing of the teachers, ECEs and nurses at Beverley.
Additionally, we want to thank our YPA and parent volunteers who supported last week’s Wellness Week by providing a Friday lunch-hour treat to the whole school community as well as facilitated activities at this week’s Lunar New Year festival. Finally, the donation of a photo booth for this year’s Middle School Dance and Games night and extra hands for set up were greatly appreciated!
Our Belonging & Outreach student leaders are looking forward to celebrating Black History Month throughout the month of February.
On Mondays, we will focus on the theme of Black Resistance throughout Canadian history on our weekly morning show and on February 19, we will welcome Britta Badour, award-winning author, poet and educator to speak at our assembly.
