Middle School - January 18, 2024

Upcoming EVENTS

Grade 8 End of Day Homeroom Transition

  • To support the transition into high school next year, grade 8 students have been trained for the past three years during the end of day homeroom to be responsible for their school assignments. This is evident by the responsibility learning skills assessed by all of their teachers.

  • Starting on Monday, January 22, Grade 8 homeroom teachers will use the evidence of responsible completion of school assignments in all classes, and allow students the privilege to be dismissed from their last period class and therefore will no longer be required to attend end of the day homeroom from 3:20pm - 3:30pm.

  • Students who still need the support of assignment reminders, and homework planning will continue to attend the 3:20pm - 3:30pm homeroom session until they demonstrate the skill of being responsible for all school work completion.

Uniform Infractions

  • With an uptick in uniform infractions (including PE) we will be implementing a new process starting on January 22. If a student incurs a total of 5 uniform infractions their homeroom teacher will speak to student and parents for reinforcement. Following subsequent infractions, they will be addressed by the Principal and risk a loss of privileges. Here is the uniform guide.
