Middle School - June 13, 2024

Principal’s end of year message

Dear Parents,

Today’s Flash marks the end of the 2023 - 2024 school year. The students have experienced another year of growth and learning, with doses of fun in the Middle School.

As I have shared in previous communications, the Middle School road is a bumpy one. There were setbacks, disappointments, and discomforts. Yet there was also growth, learning and successes academically, socially and personally. These experiences are made possible by our teachers who offer support and guidance, while holding students accountable. I take this opportunity to applaud our teaching faculty for their unwavering commitment to your child’s education. Whether it is offering extra help, supervising trips, coaching teams, leading clubs, they are world-class educators committed to teaching and learning through relationships.

We believe in all students and set a high bar. We believe that curiosity, embracing challenges and contributing to a community supports student growth. We believe in a partnership between the school and home to support our goals. Thank you parents for your continued support. Thank you class parents and the YPA for the extra fun events that make school a social and fun place, including snacks and food. We love food.

Our students are applauded for their hard work, commitment and growth. While there can be many adults behind the scenes, it is the student who is principled, who is courageous, who is open-minded, who is reflective and who is caring and will take the steps to be the best version of themselves.

A few reminders:

Closing Ceremony, Friday, June 14, 9:00am - 10:30am
