Co Curricular Clubs Begin
Please review the Middle School Co Curricular Clubs Schedule and promotional slide deck with your student to help them assess how they would like to get involved at The York School this Fall.
If you, or your student has questions, please speak to the staff or student leader listed on the schedule. Helping your child to make connections while creating a balanced schedule will also be done in consultation with the homeroom teacher.
ORANGE SHIRT day to honour truth & reconciliation
The focus of this year’s week of Truth and Reconciliation will be honouring and amplifying Indigenous voices. Through York Reflects and homeroom classes, students and staff will hear from various Canadian Indigenous thought leaders, change makers and influencers.
On Friday, we welcome John Brown, the Legal and Strategic Advisor of Indigenous Initiatives for McCarthy Tétrault, LLP. At the assembly, John will be speaking about the importance of Reconciliation as we recognize Orange Shirt Day at The York School.
There are various businesses in Toronto from which to purchase an Orange Shirt that will support the survivors of residential schools. We ask all students and staff to ensure they are supporting one of these businesses when making a purchase for Friday’s Orange Shirt Day.
To purchase directly from the Orange Shirt Society, please click here.
