STUDENT LIFE AND BELONGING
STUDENT VOTE 2025 - written by Gr 11 CAS students Marissa W, Sophie F and Ava M
Last week our school had its very own Student Vote Election and the results are in!! After a morning of excitement and some serious decision-making, 289 students from grades 8-12 cast their votes—and the Conservative Party came out on top.
So, how did it work? Students had the chance to vote for a representative in our riding from one of the four major political parties: Conservative, Liberal, NDP, and a couple of others. No pressure, no peer influence—you just grabbed a ballot and marked your choice.
Though ultimately, this wasn't just about who won—it was about taking part in something that helps us understand how voting works. It’s our way of practicing for when we’re actually old enough to vote in a real election. And even if the results weren't what everyone expected, the most important thing was that we got involved and learned a little more about democracy in the process.

House Standings Update - Term 2!
In a very spirited final assembly, our staff and students watched a zipline reveal of our house standings!
With flags flying down the zipline, we witnessed, for the first time in 6 years, AIR house take the lead.
With 2 months of Challenge, Community and Curiosity competitions left, there is still room for any house to take the Cup!
