Service As Action Week - Tuesday May 21 - Thursday 24
This year for Service as Action week the York School will be supporting Campfire Circle.
Campfire circle (formally Camp Oochigeas) is a privately funded charity that helps to support kids affected by childhood cancer and severe illness. They offer year round, community and in hospital programs, as well as an overnight summer camp.
The York School is hoping to raise $5000 which would send a child to camp for two weeks.
Donations can be made
Using our school fundraising page
Participating in the week-long coin drive/house challenge out front of the Student Life & Belonging office
Purchasing a Taylor Swift friendship bracelet at lunch or before school in the cafeteria each day
Purchasing items at the bake sale on Thursday, May 23 in the morning and at lunch
There will also be a variety of camp-themed activities all week including a Camp Swag Casual Day on Friday, May 24.
All funds raised will go to Campfire Circle to help us reach our goal.
Questions? Adina Fuss, Senior School Leadership Coordinator at afuss@yorkschool.com.
Final House Challenge Morning - Wednesday, May 29
The final opportunity for staff and students to acquire house points as a team will be on Wednesday, May 29. This will also be a house-coloured casual day!
Students can also continue to personally acquire house points for embodying our 3C values right up until closing ceremonies.
A reminder that our last house points update suggests that everyone still has a chance to win this year’s House Cup!
