York is getting a NEW Mascot

At our opening assembly, students and staff heard from our newly appointed Athletics Reps that The York School mascot is being rebranded! We are welcoming all members of our community to submit their ideas for our new mascot - one that promotes the pride and spirit that we all have in our school.

Submissions can be made digitally using this google form or hand drawn and placed in the box in the MS commons/outside the Student Life & Belonging office.

All ideas will be collected until November 30th and then a community vote will take place in the new year!

We look forward to seeing what our creative community comes up with!

Questions? Please contact Rick DeMarinis, Director, Athletics at rdemarinis@yorkschool.com.

Grade 9 Students interested in DECA (Business Club)

Any Grade 9 Students who are interested in joining DECA this year but have a conflict with Concert Band on Thursdays should respond to the email from Mr Eaton indicating their preference for alternate meeting times. The Senior DECA leaders are working hard to organize additional  “lunch and learn” opportunities to meet the level of interest from our Grade 9s!

Service Learning Opportunities @ York

Our in-house service partnerships with the Junior School, DramaWay and The Beverley School are beginning next week. Students are encouraged to connect with Ms Porter if they are interested in signing up for any of these programs as a few spots are still available.

To review possible service opportunities, what they entail and who to contact for more information, please check out this document.
